Ray Zill met Sandy at The Evergreen State College Library, where they worked together to bring poetry and performance into the stacks through a quarterly open mic night. The two continued their friendship and collaboration in creating this limited edition print. Inspired by the Piet Mondrian-influenced design on the original Partridge Family bus, Ray traced old stills from the show to create the broadside’s illustration. The four-color design was made into four laser-cut woodblocks which were carefully mounted, registered, and printed via letterpress. The poem’s text was exposed on a photopolymer plate by Ray and printed via letterpress. Paper is Somerset. Each copy is numbered and signed by the two artists.
